Bedal Peak is one of my favorite climbs. It’s not an easy hike, but you will get to exercise your route finding skills for the first two thirds of the hike. There are flags to help you navigate, but if you don’t pay attention you can lose the trail in no time. Bedal Peak provides a great view of Sloan Peak and many of the Mountain Loop Highway peaks. This is not a beginners hike and in the winter and spring you will want to bring crampons and an ice axe.
